Special Guest Speaker: Ms. Jito Sasaki, Former Deputy Chief Nun from TV Program
At the end of April, when the U-NO-HANA (deutzia) were in full bloom, we hosted a workshop titled "IKIRU WO KANGAERU (Reflecting on Life)." We were deeply honored to welcome Ms. Jito Sasaki as our guest speaker, widely known for her role as the deputy chief nun on the NHK program “YAMATO AMADERA SHOJIN NIKKI (Yamato Convent Veggie Diary).”
In addition to being a Buddhist nun, Jito-san is a certified public psychologist. She actively supports the community as a school counselor for the Nara Prefectural Board of Education and provides palliative care at both the Nara Prefectural General Medical Center and Nishi-Nara Central Hospital.
Her talk filled the room with a warm, comforting energy. Using the "414 (Yoi Shi / Good Death) Cards," participants found a quiet space to reflect on their own life journeys and their paths forward. It was a deeply enriching experience, and we all walked away with profound insights.
