Wellness Event "M.O.F.U" Held
On May 31, 2026, the wellness event "M.O.F.U" was held, hosted by the Mental Health Environmental Change (MHEC) Project. Representing madocaproject, Enjun Hiyoshi, led the "Grounding" session.
Launched in 2026, the "M.O.F.U Annual Wellness Support Program" is designed as a year-round program that supports children and the adults who care for them (parents, guardians, and supporters) together as "a single unit." We have more events lined up starting in June. Please check here for the latest updates on M.O.F.U.
The event in May featured various learning and practical sessions, facilitating cross-generational interactions among participants ranging from 5 to 70 years old. The highlights included:
"Heartfulness" by Dr. Stephen Murphy-Shigematsu, a psychologist from Stanford University.
"Hip-Hop Therapy" by a team of psychiatrists and psychosomatic medicine physicians who are pioneers in introducing hip-hop therapy to Japan (Dr. Makidashi, Dr. Wu Docc, and Dr. Rena Sugawara).
"Art Therapy (Movement & Art)" by Ms. Manami Yamamoto, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the U.S., who leads community mental health initiatives in both Japan and the United States.
"Art (Art for Self-Discovery)" by Ms. Satoko Kuraishi, a Licensed Psychologist and Clinical Psychologist.
"Grounding (Meditation)" by Enjun Hiyoshi, the representative of madocaproject, who is also a Licensed Psychologist and Clinical Psychologist.
